The Power of Three

Pictured below are the three "Silver" cousins that are continuing on the legacy their grandparents started.  Their grandparents, John Silver, a pirate with a head for business and his wife Maddie, an island Native, also with a head for business and a natural born leader, married and had 3 children. Their eldest son died in a sailing accident before he ever had a family of his own. The remaining 2 daughters are the parents of the 3 remaining heirs.

Ryder is the eldest of the remaining grandchildren. His mother was the middle daughter, and older than her younger sister by a year. Ryder was his mother's only child, although as mentioned in a previous blog post, due to the nature of his father, he imagines he does have half siblings out there somewhere.
As the Silver daughter's were close, so were their children. Ryder, Emil and Johari were raised together and are more siblings than cousins. Ryder and Johari are close in age.
Johari and Emil's older brother, who died in an accident, was a couple of years older than Johari and Ryder. Emil is several years younger.

Johari also lost her first husband to smallpox. He was the father of her 2 biological children, Mo and Addie. She also has an adopted son, Tion, who was the son of a childhood friend who died during childbirth. Johari and her husband adopted the baby and he has been raised by her since he was born. Johari runs their family's tavern/inn.
Emil is the "baby" of the family. He has always had a head for numbers, and has never had the stomach for sailing, so he works from his office on land and is in charge of the accounts. He is also considered the bleeding heart among the 3 cousins. He is passionate when he encounters a "cause" that speaks to him. He loves his nieces and nephews and always makes time to spend with them. He also genuinely loves women...…………..a subject for another blog installment.😊
