While he doesn't have the stomach to be out to sea for long periods of time, he does have an excellent head for figures, so he helps Ryder out on the financial side of the business from shore, and looks after other family interests in town.
Relationships: Grandson of John Silver and Maddie, on his mother's side. His parents never married, his father was of Spanish origins and never saw eye to eye with his grandfather. Emil was the youngest of 3 children. His older brother died at sea at the age of 18, Emil was 8. Grief at the loss of his eldest son, along with tensions with Silver caused his father to leave within a year after, and Emil hasn't seen him since. He knows nothing of his father's side of the family. He has an older sister, Johari, who he is close to as well as several nieces and nephews that he loves dearly. Ryder is like a brother to him as well. He has had an off again/on again relationship with Bridget, who is a server at the family tavern. He has known her most of his life.
