Flowing Golden Flowers

I bought this fabric a while ago, as it reminded me of the fabric in the robe Claire wore in Paris in the second season of Outlander the TV show. A shot of Catriona Balfe, as Claire wearing the robe in question.

While the style of robe isn't the same, as I already had a robe in the style of Claire's above from a different gold fabric I had found before the flowered fabric below, the feel is the same, and my Claire doll based on the Outlander series will enjoy it as well. I asked my friend Robyn, of Period Threads, who makes most of my period doll clothing if we could do a different kimono sleeve on the robe instead of the short sleeve of Claire's golden robe. Below is the gorgeous result.
Since Cristina has golden eyes, I thought it would suit her as well, and since she hadn't gotten any new photos for a while she got to model the new robe first.

The fabric drapes so beautifully. My girls will get much use out of it, and as always, Robyn's work is impeccable.

Cristina's eyes really "pop"  with the robe. She may not be giving it over to Claire anytime soon.

Johari and Santos

I got a new SartoriaJ gown today, so since I haven't updated this blog in a while I decided to let Johari model. Her other half may have decided to put in an appearance as well.

Ryder and Cristina

Some new shots of Ryder and Cristina, just because I felt like spending a bit of time with them.

Clean Shaven Ryder

Haven't spent time with Ryder in what seems like forever, so decided this morning that he needed a little time in front of the camera. He doesn't dress up often, but I commissioned this queued wig for him from Chewin quite a while ago with the intention of dressing both he and Cristina up and taking some "ball" photos. I missed that check point in 2020. Something to put on my list to do for 2021.

I have 2 heads for Ryder, both a scruffy version and this clean shaven version, both painted by Lyn Raftis.  (You can see the scruffy head in previous blog entries) He hasn't  worn his clean shaven head in a while, so thought it was time to put it on along with the gorgeous wig and get some new pics. Even if I don't have a ball gown for Cristina to do the "ball" photos I want to do yet.

He has a face that always draws me in, and makes me wonder what he is thinking. Testament to the incredible talent of Lyn.

The Bath

I took these pictures quite a while ago, when I found this awesome "bath tub" at Home Goods.  It works as a bath for the 18th century crowd quite well!

Cristina was enjoying a nice leisurely bath, until she was interrupted.

Somehow I don't think she minded the interruption very much at all.

Rendevous

In an out of the way spot, Johari and Santos meet for some alone time.
